LED Street Light
- BOSUN SOLAR LED Street Lights have revolutionized outdoor lighting and offer many advantages over traditional lighting technologies. With their energy efficiency, long life, and superior performance, LED street lights have become the first choice for lighting roads, highways, and parking lots. Lower wattage LED street lights are typically used in residential areas, sidewalks, or small parking lots, while higher wattage street lights are more suitable for major roads, highways, and large parking lots.
- Another important classification of LED street lights is based on their optical design and light distribution pattern. LED street lights have a variety of beam angles, including wide beam, medium beam, and narrow beam. The beam angle determines the spread and concentration of light, allowing lighting designers to choose the most appropriate option for a specific application. For example, a wider beam angle may be better for lighting a large open space, while a narrower beam angle may be better for focusing light on a specific area or reducing light pollution.
- LED street lights from BOSUN are trusted by contractors, government agencies and project managers around the world. BOSUN manufactures and develops LED street lights using Philips LEDs to ensure smooth operation in adverse weather conditions.
- Whether you want to illuminate a small area or order a project, we can provide you with the best lighting solution.

Features and Advantages of LED Street Lights
- The LED street lights provided by BOSUN Lighting are beautiful and compact in design, very suitable for urban buildings, long service life, wind and corrosion resistance, stable performance, and simple installation. LED street lights have good energy-saving effects and can provide appropriate lighting to ensure smooth traffic.
-
LED Road Lighting
- Road lighting is key to ensuring safe and efficient operation of all types of traffic. This is especially true in congested urban areas where road use and pedestrian traffic mix. Many of these roads were also not designed to handle the large volumes of traffic that is currently occurring, making proper lighting even more important.
-
Highway Street Lights
- Highways carry a large volume of high-speed traffic, making proper lighting essential for safe and efficient use of the road. Many highways are still using older lighting systems that were designed for a time when traffic was slower and congestion was less severe, making an upgrade to modern lighting technology a critical need. LED highway lights are a great fit for this application.

Commercial LED Street Lights
- Commercial and industrial parking lots are among the largest paved areas in existence that require high-performance lighting. High-quality lighting is critical because pedestrian traffic mixed with vehicles entering and exiting presents a clear safety hazard. LED street lights are the perfect solution for this type of application, providing powerful and extensive illumination of the vast areas of a parking lot.
- BOSUN Lighting R&D team has developed different optical lenses specifically for commercial LED street lights to change the light distribution for different types of streets. BOSUN Lighting LED street lights have high lighting efficiency, which can help you achieve the best street lighting effect in various environments and withstand extreme weather. Four common solutions are provided, which can be used in different scenarios and usage environments.
- First type
- BOSUN ® Lighting's Type I lens. Type I distribution is ideal for lighting sidewalks, paths and walkways that meet IESNA standards. It is generally suitable for situations where the installation height is approximately equal to the width of the road.
- Second type
- BOSUN ® Lighting's Type II lens. Type II light distribution is suitable for wide sidewalks, ramps and entrance roads of IESNA standards, as well as other long and narrow lighting. It is generally suitable for situations where the road width does not exceed 1.75 times the designed installation height.
- Third type
- BOSUN ® Lighting's Type III lens. Type III distribution is suitable for road lighting, general parking lots and other larger lighting requirement areas in IESNA standards. This distribution is suitable for lighting installed on the side or near the medium width road or area, where the width of the road or area does not exceed 2.75 times the design installation height.
- Fourth
- BOSUN ® Lighting's V-lens. It is suitable for luminaires installed on or near the center of the road, parkway center islands and IESNA standard intersections, and is also suitable for large commercial parking lot lighting and other areas where sufficient and evenly distributed light is required.

How tall are streetlights?
- The average height of a streetlight pole is about 9 to 14 feet. Smaller poles are also used in pedestrian areas, which are about 5 to 7 feet in height. These poles are most commonly used to illuminate highways, roads, and commercial parking lots.
-
How much can LED streetlights save?
- Although the figures may vary from project to project, LED streetlights are expected to reduce costs by 35% to 70%.
-
How long do LED streetlights last?
- Our LED streetlighting solutions are built to last. From a 3-year warranty to a 5-year warranty, these LEDs have been a durable, reliable lighting source for many years. Please view our individual products for specifications.

How do LED streetlights help improve energy efficiency and save money?
- LED streetlights help improve energy efficiency and save money in the following ways:
- Reduced energy consumption: LED streetlights use significantly less energy than traditional lighting. This reduces electricity bills and reduces energy demand, thereby improving energy efficiency.
- Reduced maintenance costs: LED streetlights last longer, requiring less frequent replacement and maintenance. This can save costs associated with labor, equipment, and downtime.
- Enhanced Light Distribution: LED street lights provide directional lighting, directing light precisely to the desired area. This minimizes light waste and improves overall lighting efficiency.

What are the differences between commercial and residential LED street lights?
- Commercial and residential LED street lights differ in design, brightness levels, and intended use. Here are the main differences:
- Design and Aesthetics: Commercial LED street lights are generally designed for larger spaces and higher lumen output. They may have a more utilitarian look. On the other hand, residential LED street lights are designed to blend in with residential areas, providing a more aesthetic appeal.
- Brightness Levels: Commercial LED street lights are generally brighter and are suitable for larger areas such as highways, parking lots, and industrial areas. Residential LED street lights can provide adequate lighting for community streets and sidewalks.
- Installation Considerations: Commercial LED street lights may require specialized installations because they have higher power requirements and require specific area lighting. Residential LED street lights are generally easier to install and may have a simpler mounting system.
